George could be the brother of John as both were born in Samford Courtney and John's son George was lodging with George and Jane in 1851.

Son Henry joined the Royal Navy and moved to Plymouth

This family lived in Dawlish and Teignmouth, although William was born in Saltash, Cornwall.

John was a Manager to a Lumber Merchant. He moved to Southampton in the 1880s with his daughter Grace. Son William moved to Hammersmith, London.

At about the beginning of the 20th century, many descendants of this branch started using WERREY-EASTERBROOK as a surname.

Thomas was a Tailer and lived in Tormoham, Battersea, Islington Fulham and Hammersmith. His second wife Jane came from Lyme Regis in Dorset and lived there with her father and children while Thomas was a travelling tailer.

 Reuben EASTERBROOK and Elizabeth LEAR

Reuben was a Carpenter and lived in Tormoham.

Son Frederick John was also a carpenter and served in the Royal Engineers in the Great War.

 Louisa EASTERBROOK and Samuel SOPER

Louisa married the widower Samuel SOPER, a farmer, who had children from his first marriage.

Samuel was a Carpenter and Builder.

 William EASTERBROOK and Sarah SOPER

William was the second of this family to marry into the SOPER family. Sarah was his brother's step-daughter.

DREATON and NICHELS

These names occur twice in the family as Emma married George Dreaton NICHELS and Ernest married Charlotte Dreaton NICHELS, whose father was (a different) George Dreaton NICHELS. There is likely to be a link but I cannot find it.

Charlotte was born in Australia and I can only find them in 1901 in England.

I suspect that George Dreaton NICHOLS is Maria's son as he is recorded as George DREATON's grandson in 1871 and the other two sisters, Eliza and Charlotte, are also present. Maria died DREATON in 1869 so does not seem to have married.

Samuel EASTERBROOK and Maria EMMETT of Kingskerswell

Samuel's family lived in Kingskerswell and Torquay. Daughter Maria moved to Islington, Middlesex where she married Reuben LONGFORD.

Samuel EASTERBROOK and Mary PASCOE of Torquay

John is the son of Solomon and Mary of Bradninch.

John and Joan's daughter Sarah was born before they were married, although she was baptised as Sarah Easterbrook. She also had an illigitimate daughter.

• Frances married a widower William GRATTAN in 1877.
• Edmund Ely moved to London.
• Ellen Nora married Frederick John EDWARDS in 1876.
• Alexander Lucas moved to Plymouth.
• Martha Lucas emigrated to Australia where she married Thomas Stocker WYMOND in Ballarat, Victoria in 1856.
• Mary lived in Dawlish until 1861 (living with her grandmother Sarah), after which there is no trace.
• James moved to Exeter and then to London.
• John moved to London.
• Henry married Lucy Ann, a widow, in Dawlish and then moved to South Zeal, South Tawton and then to Chagford, both in North Dartmoor
• Laura moved to Exeter.

William is son of Thomas and Mary of Exbourne.

Many of this family were jewellers or watchmakers. Samuel was a solicitor and I believe is a founder of Kitson Dymond & Easterbrook of Torquay.

Edmund Pepperell emigrated to USA.

Thomas James is the grandson of Thomas EASTERBROOK and Anne HATHERLEIGH from Buckfastleigh.

Thomas came from Torquay but married in Cheltenham where most of his children were born. Later the family resided back in Torquay.

James "disappears" between 1871 and 1881 and I cannot find a record of his death. James Perrot is a lodger with Mary Ann in 1881 and 1891. In 1901 he is living with Emily and her husband William DOUGLAS and is recorded as father-in-law, suggesting that he is Emily's father and not James.
